Emma from January 4th to Febuary 4th...

from the time we went to visit the family for Christmas... Emma has been talking like crazy!!!
she is such a good baby if i walk away she'll cry but when i come back she stops crying and starts talking as if she is trying soooo hard to tell me what she wants... it's so cute!

I can now officially say I'm a Stay at home mom! I LOVE IT! i am so blessed to be able to stay home with my baby not very many moms get that opportunity...
when the time came to me having to go back to work all i did was cry (i just didn't want to leave my baby) Raymond got to stay home with mommy for the first year of his life and i just didn't think it was fare and just really wanted to get that bonding with my baby girl also... and i got it..=)
since i've been home i would have to say i'm pretty busy...
we have play dates all the time at least once a week and i also have lunch dates with good friends..
we have play dates with my old co-workers, friends, wives of daddy's co-workers....they are Lyndsey and her two daughters Scarlett (3)and Elle (7 mths) and Tonya and her two kids Grayson (3) and Chloe (2 mths)
Thursdays are with Emily and Sara (in her belly due in April) and Fridays with my BFF Katie.
I cook more and clean a lot and lets not forget i LOVE to hold Emma all day long..=)
here is Chloe and Emma only two weeks apart in age...
At the end of the month of January my little sister was due to get married and i was going to miss it... i then gave her, her something borrowed (my neckless right off my neck..it was a sweet moment)...
then just 3 days before i got a call stating my dad was going to fly me out for the wedding (just me and of course Emma had to go)...I hopped on a plane that friday night before the wedding and surprise her just 4 hours before the wedding. it was priceless and i was SO excited to be there...

Emma came into this world just in time for all the great holidays! Her first big holiday was thanksgiving! My little Turkey...

Only Three weeks old and just starting to smile, to Raymond she was his little sunshine...

Even though she was new, mom still cooked... and cooked...
Yes i cooked a whole thanksgiving dinner... with a yummy 12 pound turkey, homemade stuffing, mash potatoes with homemade gravy, yummy green beans, rolls and shrimp salad... and we can't forget the best yummy desserts cherry cheese cake and pumpkin pie!!!
we had a great dinner with uncle Ratha, auntie Tiffany, Katie and her mom Carrie and lets not forget big brother, mom and dad!
Poor Emma had to wait to get her dinner ha-ha...

A Family of Four...

On the day of November 4, 2010 we welcomed Emma Grace Lim into our family...

Emma was born at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans at 10:32 am she was 6 pounds 9 ounces and was 19.5 inches long...

the week following her birth was some BAD luck...
it all started on Thursday October 28th at my doctors appointment...
we scheduled a induction for November 4th at 5 am. (No reason why, the doctor just gave us the option).... October 29th Grandma calls with some bad news. Papa was in the hospital with bad pain from kidney stones and would need surgery. Hoping to get papa all fixed up by November 3rd the day they were flying in... Grandma calls on November 1st with the bad news of not being able to make it and had to canceled there flights...tear.... thankfully Auntie Tiffany was able to change her flight to arrive the day of the induction but would not get in until 3 pm and thank goodness for, the bestest friend, Miss Katie will take care of Big brother raymond because his daycare does not open until 6:30 am. Wednesday November 3rd a exciting but sad day because grandma and papa are not going to make it there was more bad news... my doctors appointment was canceled (my doctor was out sick...OH geeze i hope hes better tomorrow for the big day?!?) and this was after i had already got there for my last appointment before the induction.... as if it couldn't get any worse... Katie called not even a hour after that to tell me her car breaks down....tear... as my tears dry up i ask our upstairs and great friend neighbor Saima if she can take care of raymond so we can go to the hospital...."of course" she said......

here is some cute picture moments before Emma...

Even though we had some bad luck we had a great fast delivery...
here's how it all played out...

5:20 am - we were late..ha-ha...
we got right in and we were greeted by very friendly nurses...
then she told me my doctor call out again...tear!!!

6 am - the resident doctor checked me (i was 2 centimeters) broke my water and started me on ptocin...

7 am - the upped the ptocin... i felt the contractions but didn't think they were that bad to get a epi...
then they told us our doctor will be here after all!!!

7:20 am - i was ready for the epi...

8 am- they finally sent a resident to place the epi...(she took FOREVER with the doctor telling her step by step how to and what to do) Grrr mom was NOT happy!!!

8:40 am - i was 8-9 centimeters finally starting to feel the epi...

9:40 am - 10 centimeters but she was still a little high...

10 am - ready to push... i pushed 4 times and then they had to hold her in so daddy and Dr Morris could get ready to catch her... Dr Morris walked in as they were holding her in and i was like come on shes ready!!!

10:32 am - she was born... it was a VERY fast delivery and it was fun and happy birth...
there was 2 girl nurses, 1 girl resident, Katie, and Daddy with Dr Morris's help catching her... Daddy was very proud to be the first to hold her.....

here are some great photos...

when she was born she still did not have a name it was between Emma or Sophia...
daddy kept asking her what name she liked best...
Daddy said she liked Emma better..=D
Raymond got to meet his baby sister for the first time...
he wasn't sure at first what to think... but he soon realized sister was not in Mommy's belly anymore...
he loves his baby sister... every time she cries he runs to her and says "don't cry sunshine it's ok" then he gives her a big kiss... and if she stops crying he says "see... she stopped crying"... it's so cute.
